We take the cuisine, on and off the water, at the Tail Inn extremely seriously and are proud to offer fresh and locally sourced ingredients. Expect the meals to be unique and the quality to be that of a 5 star Mayan restaurant. There is a heartwarming amount of love and creativity poured into every meal using family recipes dating back to our families inception into Punta Herrero over 40 years ago.

Each meal is carefully curated to mix holistic Mayan and Mexican cuisine complete with an upscale touch and flare. Each day starts with a balanced breakfast, fresh squeezed juices and strong Mexican coffee accompanying the spread. On-the-water lunches range from three-layer focaccia bread sandwiches to touches of local Mexican cuisine when the opportunity arises.

Upon returning from a successful outing, guests are greeted with Happy Hour margaritas, other traditional cocktails and after fishing snacks that range from sushi to tacos.

Dinner is the crowning moment of the day’s fare, with an inventive menu of freshly prepared local fish, grilled octopus and chimichurri aranchera being a part of the menu. The evening flourishes with after dinner cocktails and the best desserts south of the border!
